The IAML is hosting a one day ART Symposium (Assisted Reproductive Technology) on Tuesday, September 9, immediately before the Annual General Meeting in Jerusalem, Israel at the Jerusalem Bar Association Building. Noted experts from around the world will address topical issues in public policy and ethics involving international cross border ART. There are presently several international platforms for discussion including the potential of a Hague Convention and the European Parliament Report on Surrogacy in EU Member States. Presenters include Anne-Marie Hutchinson, OBE, Partner at Dawson Cornwell (London, England) on the EU and Hague experience, Dr. Yehezkel, Margalit, Rabbi, lawyer, scholar and lecturer on law and ethics from Tel-Aviv University will address "Regulating International Surrogacy Agreements: The Israeli perspective", Judy Sperling-Newton, J.D., Director of the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys (AAARTA), Gary Debele, J.D. on the "USA Perspective on Regulation of International ART” and Marcus Dearle, managing partner of Withers Hong Kong office on the Asian experience in ART and surrogacy.
